Those who are interested in the power of design thinking may be interested in the work of Stanford's d.school ("d" for designthinking) http://www.stanford.edu/group/dschool/index.html, which shares the same design thinking DNA as IDEO (and some people). The d.school's executive director just gave a great talk at the NY Chautauqua, which I wrote about here: http://www.unstuck-ed.org/2009/08/14/getting-unstuck-design-thinking/.
