The Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing (FCYO) founded in 2000 is a dynamic collective of national, regional and local grantmakers and youth organizing practitioners dedicated to advancing youth organizing as a strategy for youth development and social change. Our mission is to cultivate resources for young people taking action to build healthy and equitable communities. More information about us can be found at our website at www.fcyo.org.

General Responsibilities

The Executive Director shares the FCYO’s overall commitment to social justice movement building and to developing strategic supports and philanthropic resources for youth-led community organizing for social and economic justice. A significant portion of the Executive Director’s time involves relationship-building with grantmakers whose interests align with those of the FCYO and practitioners and others who can inform FCYO’s work and activities. In carrying out his/her work, the Executive Director operates in a highly collaborative manner, uniting staff, funders and practitioners to advance the vision and work of the organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, visionary and dynamic leader.
