Senior Manager, Organizational Capacity Building
Social Venture Partners’ mission is to develop philanthropy and volunteerism to achieve positive social change in the Puget Sound region. SVP engages philanthropists to contribute time, money, and expertise to children’s, K-12 education and environmental non-profits in King County, Washington. SVP forms longer term (three to five year) capacity building relationships with our investees, providing them with cash grants, skilled volunteers, professional consultants, leadership development and management training opportunities. SVP works with 16 – 20 organizations at a time.
The Senior Manager, Organizational Capacity Building oversees these relationships, managing volunteer and paid consultants, the annual reviews of investees, and providing strategic direction to SVP’s capacity building programs. Currently this role also oversees SVP Seattle’s financial, accounting, and operational infrastructure. One person currently reports to the Senior Manager, with one to two additional reports added over the next three years. Start date is May, 2008.
