Sarah Murray of the Financial Times writes an excellent article about the importance of donors funding operating costs at nonprofits and not restricting grants for programs. One positive result of the economic crisis may be that donors final realize that if a nonprofit can't operate it can't run its program and maybe we'll see less of a focus on misleading "overhead ratios".
