William Easterly is saying that Melinda Gates exaggerated the success of antimalarial efforts in an interview with the Financial Times. The typical foundation response would be to not respond. Why does it matter? Because one of them is right and the field needs to know who's right so that future funding supports the right efforts. This is a case study in useful information sharing in the way I wrote about earlier today.
