Holden Karnofsky offers a solid analysis of the unsolicited donations to the Gates Foundation. Some of the debate on this event has centered around disclosure of the donors' names. Note that, as required by law, the Gates Foundation lists names of all donors who give them over $5,000 in their 990-PF form available on the Foundation Center website.

Pretty funny that in Broderick's play the philanthropist in question finds his generosity, "winds up destroying his own credibility in the twisted world of academia…and in the bedroom! "
