I applauded the NBC show The Philanthropist, but the new Canadian show The Foundation is appalling. I'm speechless after watching the promo. But I would caution people who care about philanthropy that having a sense of humor about something like this is usually better than if our field responds like a bunch of holier than thou do gooders.
