The Boston Foundation is setting up a Haiti fund (with 1:1 matching from donors Jim and Karen Ansara) that will make grants over five years with 25% earmarked for immediate disaster relief. According to a letter I reviewed, the Fund will be supporting Partners in Health as a key grantee among others.

Pepsi has pulled out of Super Bowl advertising and is instead going to give away $20 million in grants via a partnership with GOOD. GOOD's crowdsourced grant strategy is sure to take into account the problems with the Chase Challenge. It will be interesting to see how this contest plays out.
