Thomas Tierney and Joel Fleishman write about their new book in Fortune magazine. Their question “What is the donor accountable for?” gets to the heart of the question I’m wrestling with in my recent posts. A donor can be accountable for diagnosising problems. But they can also be accountable for selecting and supporting outstanding nonprofit organizations and finding the ones that are best able to diagnosis and solve problems.
