Philanthropy Daily Digest 06/10/2011

  • Interesting post from Daniel Stid of Bridgespan looking at how human service providers need to move from being “cowboys” (focusing only on being the best at what they do) to being part of a “pit crew” that can serve all the needs of beneficiaries. It should be noted that this “pit crew” approach is one of the under appreciated aspects of the Pay For Success proposal, in which intermediaries manage a “pit crew” of providers to deliver results.
