  • Stephanie Strom reports on a new paper that urges corporations to focus on their bottom line rather than on philanthropy to maximize their social impact. I agree that well run companies create social value, but I don’t think a choice needs to be made between maximizing profits and being a good corporate citizen. Do employees maximize social impact by focusing exclusively on work and not participating in their community?
